Abstract

This article aims at the influence of some aspects of the African woman's theory and its perception for the understanding of black women's political experiences in Brazil. In order to do so, the most important foundations of African Women will be presented, as well as some of their theoretical-methodological affiliations; possible approximations and distances in relation to other theories; and, finally, some questions about black female political agencies, especially on Brazilian soil.
