Resumo

No início do século XXI, no campo da Educação surgiu a metodologia de investigação Design-Based Research (DBR) que liga a investigação e a prática na educação envolvendo todos os participantes do cenário educacional: estudantes, professores e/ou outras partes interessadas. Todos se tornam atores da investigação. Este capítulo apresenta uma breve visão da origem histórica da DBR, mostrando como se evoluiu da investigação ação e da investigação participada para o conceito da DBR e a metodologia DBR. Argumenta, ainda, como a DBR pode constituir uma metodologia apropriada à investigação que recorre ao digital como o seu ambiente operativo. Para tentar encontrar um equilíbrio entre considerações teóricas e exemplos concretos sobre a metodologia, delineiam-se três eixos: - a apresentação de breves perspetivas teóricas; - a inovação educacional: Design-Based Research; e as etapas de uma investigação em Educação com a metodologia DBR.
